Like most great things, this didn’t initially start out as my idea.
My wife, a fellow lover of all things flavorful, thought a blog would be a fantastic way to showcase my talents in the kitchen. I don’t want to brag, but I’m a fair cook and moreover I love to experiment in the kitchen. It boils down to a desire to prepare and create something special, unique, and fun; an altogether unique dining experience.
A little background about myself: I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I lived here my entire life up until about a year and a half ago. My wife and I decided to move to Denver, Colorado, another mile-high city, to start a new adventure. While I love the fast pace of Denver, and I’m really enjoying city life, I also have a certain desire and appreciation for the Southwest, which is flavorful in both cultural and culinary aspects.
I have a degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Political Science from the University of New Mexico. I work in the customer service department of a company that manages Family Medical Leave and Short Term Disability claims for clients, and I’ve worked in customer service for years. I also worked as a line cook at a New Mexico restaurant chain for a couple of years.
Most importantly, I love to eat, drink and be merry.
You can submit your suggestions/ideas for new experiments in the Requests section. I’m a fan of limitation, so feel free to ask for vegan/healthy options, or even some dishes asking for dietary restrictions. I’ll do my best to comply.
